Lunatic Poets is a meta-cinematic work that explores the excess and collapse of contemporary sensibility through a virtual world inhabited by synthetic, post-body beings. Created by :mentalKLINIK using Unreal Engine 5, the MetaHuman Ensemble appears as entities formed from fragments of data and affect—neither fully human nor reducible to AI, but existing in a state of dislocated subjectivity. Within a hyper-charged environment resembling an algorithm caught in an endless loop, their presence unfolds as a non-linear narrative shaped by the languages of social media, algorithmic systems, and therapeutic discourse.

At the core of the work lies Lunatic Poems, a decade-long writing process that functions not as conventional narrative but as an accumulation of synthetic expressions—affective fragments, libidinal syntax, and distorted communicative forms. Drawing on the Anatolian figure of “Meczup,” a being associated with both madness and wisdom, the work reconsiders the boundaries between normativity and deviation. In an atmosphere where surveillance, anxiety, and pleasure converge, the piece presents the current condition not as a projection of the future, but as an already-realized state of contemporary existence.

메타휴먼 캐릭터들이 등장하는 가상의 세계를 통해 동시대 감각의 과잉과 붕괴를 탐구하는 메타-시네마 작업이다. Unreal Engine으로 구현된 인물들은 데이터와 감정의 파편으로 구성된 ‘탈신체적 존재’로 등장한다. 이들은 알고리즘, 소셜 미디어, 치료 담론 등에서 파생된 언어를 통해 비선형적 서사를 형성한다. 작품은 터키 아나톨리아의 원형으로, 광기와 지혜를 동시에 지닌 존재인 ‘메추프(Meczup)’를 빌려, 정상성과 비정상성의 경계를 재고한다. 감시, 불안, 쾌락이 뒤섞인 환경 속에서 현재의 상태는 미래가 아닌 이미 도래한 현실로 제시된다.
